To be a part of an animal's journey to a better life; to love and provide safety to their forever home, is something truly special and what animal rescue is all about.  It's what we strive for.

River

What’s not to love about this big beautiful girl?!  River is sweet as pie with her humans and does take a little bit to warm up to men. Once she knows your good people, she is Velcro and good luck getting her off!  River loves to play with other pups and does show some possessiveness with some toys which we are working on and she easily redirects. All she wants to do is please you, so when she gets scolded, she makes sure to give you those big sad eyes. She loves having stuffies to carry around and shows how proud she is of them by wagging her tail and wiggling her hips! River would love to have all the attention in the home but certainly can live with other dogs. She is still a bit shy and when I’ve asked her to sit or lay down she will cower and go to her kennel. Slowly but surely she is coming out of her shell though. River is typical coonhound noisy, and loves to alert you to the sounds of the world. She is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained(LOVES walks) and obedient. She has a bit of energy but once worn out, she will settle down next to you for cuddles. She also insists she is a lap dog no matter how many times you tell her she isn’t. River would thrive in an active home that understands her size and is ok with a tail that likes to swipe everything to the ground. Are you her perfect match?
