To be a part of an animal's journey to a better life; to love and provide safety to their forever home, is something truly special and what animal rescue is all about.  It's what we strive for.

Mudge

sponsored by:

Hi all! I’m Mudge but my foster parents call me “Molly” as a nickname. I’m such a sweet yellow lab and love attention (especially belly rubs), but when it’s time to rest I have no problem napping in my kennel and unwinding. As you may see, I have a deformed leg that was likely broke when I was a pup and never healed correctly. Despite that, I love going on walks and can put some pressure on it; It is good to relax after a short walk though. I live with two cats now and they don’t bother me at all. So far the only thing I’ve not liked is car rides! Please apply to adopt me so we can meet and I can give you lots and lots of kisses!!

Mudge came to Journey Home as an owner surrender when her owners were moving and couldn't take her or her brother with. She is a darling Yellow Lab with typical happy go lucky lab personality. Mudge's front right leg was broken as a very young pup and did not heal properly, so it is bowed and shorter than the other (due to the growth plate being broke). She does have some arthritis in it and it otherwise does not appear to bother her at this time. Veterinarian recommendations are currently pain management and preventative care with supplements. Adopters need to be aware that there could come a time in Mudge's life where the recommendation will be to amputate her leg.
