Winston came from a severe hoarding situation where over 10 dogs were confined to a small trailer. None had ever been outside or received basic veterinary care. At just 20 pounds, Winston is still trying to understand the world beyond that trailer—and it’s all very new and overwhelming for him.

He’s timid, unsure of people, and easily startled. Sudden movements or unfamiliar environments can cause him to shut down or react with fear. He needs a patient, quiet home where he can adjust at his own pace and begin to feel safe.

Winston is not aggressive, but his fear is very real. He’ll need time, routine, and someone willing to gently earn his trust. With the right person, he has the potential to slowly come out of his shell and experience life as he never has before.
