Skye is a gentle sweetheart waiting for the right person/family to show her patience and love so she can build her confidence. She approaches new people and experiences with a gentle caution. Her favorite toys are stuffies that squeak, bones, and ropes. She loves napping on a soft dog bed, it’s much better than the outdoor pad of dirt she had before rescue.

She’s a potty prodigy, consistently going outside and even starting to signal by whimpering or waiting by the patio door.

She loves her resident dog brothers and often seeks their attention and learns through what they do or how they handle situations.

Skye is kenneled during the workday or as needed for evening/weekend events. At night, she enjoys sleeping on a dog bed in the foster families’ bedroom. She’s good about whimpering if she needs a midnight potty break which are becoming less and less frequent.

Leash adventures are still a bit overwhelming, she prefers a yard where she can roam on her own or drag a tie out if needed.

Skye is searching for a home that understands the beauty of “go slow and watch me grow”. She’ll blossom into a snuggly, loving, devoted companion with time, patience, toys and treats for encouragement.
