Meet Shawnee🐾

Shawnee is a tiny, fun-loving girl with such a sweet personality. Once she becomes comfortable with you, she gets so excited to see you that her whole little body wiggles!

Like her sister Kaya, Shawnee can be easily frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. She is a little braver than Kaya, but she still needs time to feel safe and comfortable. She also loves being close to her sister and finds comfort in having Kaya nearby.

As Shawnee begins to trust you, she’ll put her little paws on you and show you just how affectionate she can be. Once she’s comfortable, she loves giving kisses, licking your hands, and getting belly rubs. ❤️

Shawnee came from a difficult situation where she wasn’t exposed to many of the everyday sights and sounds that most dogs experience. Because of this, she will need a patient, calm and understanding family who will give her the time she needs to adjust and build confidence.

I truly believe Shawnee will adapt and blossom with the right person. She is a very special little girl who just needs someone willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace. A calm, confident dog in the home could also help her feel more secure.

Shawnee is not yet house trained, and it may take her some time to learn. Her adopter will need to be patient and willing to work with her as she learns this important skill.

Shawnee has so much love to give. She just needs someone who will be patient enough to earn her trust—and once she does, she’ll show you what a special little girl she truly is. ❤️🐾
