Meet Salem — Professional Good Girl & Future Couch Supervisor

Salem is a sweet, scruffy little lady who has perfected the art of looking adorable at all times. Just look at her stylish bandana—she’s basically the fashion icon of the foster dog world. She’s potty trained (because she's a civilized woman) with a few occasional accidents (because she is a puppy) and walks like a total champ on a leash, proudly trotting beside you as if she’s giving you a tour of the neighborhood.

Her absolute favorite activity in the whole world is snuggling on the couch. Salem takes her cuddle duties very seriously and is prepared to clock in for full-time hours. When she’s not being a professional snug-bug, she loves playing with toys—squeaky, bouncy, fluffy, you name it. If it can be carried around or proudly shown off, she’s a fan.

She also gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs in her foster home. She enjoys their company, respects their boundaries, and fits right into the pack like she’s been there forever. With her gentle personality and affectionate nature, Salem will follow you from room to room—not in a clingy way, but in a “just making sure you don’t get lost” kind of way. She’s smart, eager to please, and quickly picks up routines, especially if treats are involved.

Salem would fit into almost any home, whether you’re an outdoor explorer or someone who considers walking to the fridge a form of exercise. She’s ready for her second chance and fully prepared to charm her way into your heart and your lap (and probably your bed, although she does currently do very well sleeping in her kennel at night).
