Meet River 💙🤎

River is the brown-and-black heartthrob with one dazzling blue eye and one warm brown eye — and yes, he knows he’s cute. This sweet, energetic boy is equal parts playful explorer and professional snuggler.

He’s currently fostered in a home with a Cavalier Maltese. River is very sure they are best friends. She… is still considering the proposal. 😄 He’s gentle, curious, and just wants to play, making him a great candidate for a home with another dog (especially one ready for a loyal little shadow).

River is thriving in his routine. He’s kenneled during the day with a midday potty break and is learning like a champ. He’s working on “sit” and going to his kennel on command — and he’s catching on quickly. He goes to the door when he needs to potty (gold star behavior ⭐), and he’s doing wonderfully with continued house-training consistency.

When he’s not practicing his good-boy skills, River loves being outside — snow zoomies, grassy romps, you name it. And when playtime winds down? He transforms into a snuggle missile. This boy lives for couch cuddles and will happily cover you in kisses. Bonus: he’s a big fan of Sesame Street and Dog TV, so he’s cultured and well-rounded. 📺🐾

River would do beautifully in a home with kids, another dog, or even a single person looking for a loyal, affectionate companion. His love language is physical touch, and all he truly wants is a forever family to call his own.
