I arrived to rescue with Kona and we got along. However, I want to be the boss with other dogs. I will do best in a home with a submissive male dog or a male dog that doesn't care about who is boss. No cats for me.

Update on Oreo!!

Oreo is an active gal who loves to play fetch and tug. It doesn’t matter what kind of toy, balls, stuffed animals, ropes are all favorites. She’s still figuring out how to drop, but using two balls has worked great when fetching. That way you always have a new one to throw.

She hasn’t had a single accident inside the house or her kennel and goes potty in the backyard.

She has been kenneling very well and goes right in because she knows that means she gets her breakfast/supper or a treat if I’m leaving for work. She has been kenneled overnight separate from foster parents and resident dogs and doesn’t put up much fuss, maybe a few whines then settles in. She also kennels during the work day.

Our current routine consists of fetch in the morning for 10-15 minutes and a peanut butter kong when I leave for work. Then playing in the backyard in the evenings, more fetch, sniffs, and sticks.

She’s been outside in the backyard with two large resident male dogs, but we have kept her solo inside. Any introductions to other dogs I’d recommend to take slowly. She’s friendly but wants to be in control of toys and how to play.

She knows sit, shake/paw, lay down. And I think will be way to train new tricks as she’s willing to listen and learn if she’s getting rewarded with a toy or treat. She’ll snuggle at our feet on the couch and enjoys butt scratches. She’d be a great fit for someone looking for a playful goofy lady!
