Meet Nori! 🐾
Nori is a sweet, two year old girl who recently came into rescue from a puppy mill, where she had very limited interaction with people. She is now beginning the journey of learning what it means to be a dog in a home and she’s taking things at her own pace.
For Nori, dogs are her first language. She absolutely loves other dogs and finds comfort and confidence in their presence. Humans, however, are still very unfamiliar and scary to her. Right now, she does her best to avoid the people in the house and will need someone who understands that trust cannot be rushed.
Nori is not currently going outside because she is a significant flight risk. When frightened by a person, her instinct is to run, so keeping her safe and secure is incredibly important. Her future home will need a secure, fully fenced yard and a friendly, confident canine companion who can help show her that people and home life can be safe.
Nori is not going to be a dog who settles in overnight. She will likely need several months—or more—to learn a routine, feel comfortable, and begin building trust with her people. Her adopter will need to be patient, understanding, and willing to celebrate the little victories along the way.
But for the right person, watching Nori discover her new world will be incredibly rewarding.
Nori is looking for a quiet, patient home that will allow her to move at her own pace, with a secure environment and a friendly dog to help guide her. She may not know how to be someone's dog yet but with time, patience, and kindness, she has the opportunity to learn.
I am a puppymill release. I likely did not get proper socialization as a pup (starved from human affection) and will need a patient and understanding adopter. I will NEED a securely fenced yard.
