Maverick is still building confidence and learning the world can be a safe place. Fast movements near his head, like reaching to put on a leash, can make him nervous, but he is making progress with patient, gentle handling. He is also working on leash skills and basic obedience. Maverick is smart and eager to learn, and he would thrive in a home that can provide consistency, structure, and continued training. He especially enjoys activities that keep his mind engaged and give him a sense of purpose.

When it is time to play, Maverick loves squeaky toys (especially “dissecting” them), chewing on bones, and solving puzzle feeders at mealtime. At night, he settles quietly in his kennel and sleeps soundly until morning.

Maverick will do best in a home that understands his needs and can help him continue to grow. He gets very excited by bunnies and other small critters, so he should always be leashed or in a secure area when outside. When he feels scared or overwhelmed, he may submissively urinate, but he is otherwise potty trained.
