Meet Koa, a name that means warrior, and one that truly reflects who he is.

Koa has been through more than any dog should as a stray, but despite his past, he continues to show just how resilient and strong he is. Throughout his recovery, we are seeing more of his personality shine each day as he grows more comfortable and confident in his surroundings.

He is slowly warming up to people and learning a few basic commands, making steady progress at his own pace. Koa enjoys affection and companionship. Once he’s comfortable, he’s happy to accept pets, sit quietly beside you, or even try to curl up close just to be near you.

One thing that truly brings Koa joy is a tennis ball. Fetch is his favorite game, and it’s where his playful personality really comes out, complete with the cutest little hops as he chases after it.

Koa walks well on a leash and has been doing great with going to the bathroom outside. As he continues to recover, patience and a gentle approach will be important while he keeps building confidence and settling into his routine.

Koa will do best in a calm, quiet home that understands his need for patience, a slow pace, and gentle care. With the right family, this brave boy has so much love, loyalty, and companionship to give and we can’t wait for him to find the home where he can continue to thrive.
