This little lover is Nora, I did name her Eleanor, but she seems to like her nickname 😊

Nora is an incredibly loving pup. Her temperament is calm – especially when she gets belly rubs! She will drop what she’s doing and just enjoy the lovin! I have found that she does very well with children. She is very patient with youngsters, so don’t be afraid of her size if you have little ones! She’s been doing great in gaining independence and confidence. I believe she would thrive in a big family with lots of love and attention! When it comes to playing, she LOVES her toys and has loved learning how to play fetch!

One thing Nora loves is praise. She loves being told she’s such a smart girl for learning new things – and when it comes to learning new things, she is VERY smart. She picks things up so quickly! She also loves her treats as a reward and is a very gentle treat taker. There has been no aggression when it comes to food/treats. As far as training has gone, it has been quite easy when she understands what is needed of her!

Nora does very well walking, even though she has probably never been on a leash before. During our walks she doesn’t pull (unless a rabbit startles her!), she doesn’t bark when passing other dogs/walkers and isn’t fazed when a dog barks behind a fence. She still hasn’t really figured out that she can go to the bathroom when on our walks but instead prefers to do her business when she’s on her trusty cable tie-out. I have no doubt she’ll get the hang of it though! She does have a strong prey drive, so when she catches the scent of a rabbit, she’s locked in. Because of this, she would thrive in a yard that has a secure fence!

We’ve only had one accident which happened because of steep stairs she was afraid to go down. If there are stairs in your home, it may take some love and patience to show her it’s alright to go up and down them! Carpet or no carpet, she is still gaining her confidence in this area so finding someone who can be patient and give her encouragement would be ideal!

Despite her size, she does have moments of wanting to be a lap dog 😊 She will come up and sit in your lap wanting to get rubs and give kisses.

During the day she has been coming to work with me and is fantastic around everyone! She is gaining her independence and is loving the attention of others. When I bring her home in the afternoon, she gets some kennel time – and she does so well in there!

Overall, Nora is a very special pup. I don’t say that lightly. Everyone notices it 😊 It is a joy to watch her get to finally be a dog that is loved while seeing how much she has grown in her confidence and independence. I can’t wait until she finds her forever home with people that can give her as much love as she gives!!
