Hi! I’m Doolie! 🐾

I’m an energetic, playful, and curious pup with soulful brown eyes that love taking in everything happening around me. I’m always ready for an adventure, especially if it involves a ball, squeaky toy, or something fun to chew!

I’m potty trained and do a good job letting my people know when I need to go, although we’ll still need to work together to establish a routine. I know basic commands like sit, down, off, and come, and since I’m still a puppy, I’ll need some continued practice to make sure those skills stick. I’m also learning my manners, including sitting at the door before going outside, sitting nicely to have my leash put on, waiting patiently for my food, and keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting people.

I walk pretty well on a leash but will need continued reinforcement as I learn your routines. I’m also very food motivated, which makes treats a great tool for helping me learn!

Kennel time isn’t my favorite, and I’ll let you know about it loudly, but I do eventually settle down. I sleep through the night and am ready to start my day bright and early after a potty break and breakfast. I may bark when I meet someone new, but I warm up fairly quickly and can usually be redirected with treats or a gentle reminder.

I have plenty of puppy energy, so a fenced yard would be ideal for me to run and play. I’m also a bit of a digger when I’m bored and need to burn off some energy. Currently, cats are still a little confusing to me, so I’d prefer a home without them. I absolutely love playing with other dogs!
