Hello. My name is Denali, but my foster family calls me “Denny” for short. I am settling nicely in my foster home, and loving all the attention.
This is all new to me, so I tend to bark briefly when someone new walks in the door and then whine because I am just so excited to see new people that give me all the love and attention that I deserve.
I am all puppy, and am keeping my foster family busy, as I am still learning all the rules of the house.
I am told that I can’t be carrying shoes all over the house, but I thought since they were left out, that they were chew toys.
I absolutely love food! However, I am still working on my manners. I absolutely love my dog food, but even more I want what my foster family is eating, and think they should share. Since they don’t share with me, I sometimes go looking on the counter, but am learning what “no” means. I guess it is just another rule of the house.
I am told that I am just the sweetest boy ever and have such a fun personality.
I also hear often that I am so smart, especially for my age. I already know “sit”, and am learning how to shake. I am willing to learn so many more tricks, especially with more pebbles of my food. Also, I am working on my potty training and doing really well!
I love being outside! I like to be in the back yard, and even get the zoomies from the fresh air. Since my foster family doesn’t have a fenced yard, I am on my leash, but that doesn’t bother me at all.
I like to help out my foster family by picking up sticks. I even pick up sticks while out on our walks and carry them along.
I really enjoy going on walks! However, there seems to be lots of scary noises, and decorations, coming from peoples yards that do frighten me slightly, but once we get past those yards, I absolutely love exploring.
I do great in my kennel when my foster family leaves occasionally during the day, and I am so good at night. I would rather sleep on the couch all night, like I do for my evening naps, but they make me go to sleep in my kennel at bedtime. I only let out a couple whimpers just letting them know that I don’t approve, but then will fall asleep within minutes and be quiet all night. I patiently wait, and don’t make a sound, until they come let me out in the mornings.
I am looking for my forever home, that will give me all the time, attention, and love that I very much deserve. I promise to give you so many snuggles, kisses, and maybe some nibbles.
