Update on me, Ash!
I’ve grown so much these last couple months with my foster family. Just not physically, but personality wise too!
I’ve gained so much confidence, the things I use to be hesitant about when I first got rescued, don’t even bother me anymore! Car rides - I’m calling shotgun! New objects, noises, or toys - I’ll race you to get the first sniffs in! New people - I bet I can give them kisses first! Basically, I’m ready to rock and roll with anything that comes my way!
I’ve got this whole potty training thing down. I even hold it while I’m in my kennel for 6+ hours! I sometimes get the excited tinkles though when my foster parents get home 🫣😆. I’m doing great with basics commands - I know sit, stay, down, and am still working on leave it. I sleep in my kennel at night and will let my foster parents know if I need a potty break at all, which sometimes I don’t! I sleep through the whole night 😴
I LOVE playing with my foster brothers. Whether it’s chase, tug of war, fetch, etc, im down! My foster parents tell me I’ve really been leaning into my Great Pyrenees self. Hanging out outside and watching the neighborhood is one of my favorite things. I also LOVE to explore the perimeters of the yard. I walk around and get all the sniffs in that I can on a regular basis. If there’s even the slightest gap that I might fit through to continue the exploring beyond the perimeter - I will find it and try my hardest to fit! 😆 They also joke a lot and say “just like Ash’s Great Pyrenees self, it’s on her terms!” I can’t even argue that, it’s true!🤣😂 whether it’s eating a treat, cuddling, coming inside, etc, I like it better when it’s my idea! Granted after they suggest it, I do think of it myself within a few minutes! I like to say, “great minds think alike!” 🐾
Original Bio:
Hi!!! Ash here! You’re eyes are not deceiving you, I am indeed a baby polar bear! 🐻❄️
My foster parents tell me I’m a precious little nugget. Which I agree with! I might have them wrapped around my paw already. Let’s be real, I had them within the first few seconds! I LOVE to cuddle with them and try to find a spot on their lap any chance I can. When I’m not getting my cuddle on, I like to play with a toy or wrestle with my foster sister. I like my big foster brothers but haven’t tagged in too much during their play time - I like watching from a distance.
I love to explore but am a little on the reserved side with new things. I lean on my sister or foster parents to show me the way and provide some comfort. Once I know the ropes, I’m all in!
I’m still a little fluffball and am learning the ins and outs of everything. I’m working on my manners and potty training but am catching on quick!
Great Pyrenees will need some sort of physical barrier to keep them at home safely as this breed tends to wander due to breed characteristics.
