Meet Alaric.
Terrified of the unknown sounds of the world, Alaric is a 9-month-old pup just beginning his journey. He came from a backyard breeder who didn’t socialize him, leaving him scared, flighty, and unsure of everything around him.
But that’s starting to change.
Now, in a safe and loving home, Alaric is learning how to be a dog — discovering the joy of a fenced-in yard, the comfort of gentle pets, and the peace of simply feeling safe. His eyes still speak volumes — of fear, uncertainty, and the hope of healing — but every day brings a little more progress.
His journey is just beginning, and we’re honored to walk alongside him as he learns to trust, explore, and just be.
Stay tuned — Alaric’s story is only getting started. 🐾

Meet Alaric
Alaric is a 12-month-old husky mix looking for a patient, understanding home where he can continue to grow at his own pace. He came to us a few months ago from a puppy mill and was very under-socialized, so the world is still a big place for him. Despite this, Alaric is making slow but meaningful progress every day.
Recently, two 8-week-old foster puppies joined the household, and Alaric has been wonderfully curious about them. He enjoys watching what they’re doing, and the puppies love stopping by to say hello. Seeing him interact so calmly and gently with them gives us so much hope for his future.
Alaric will need a calm home, lots of patience, and a family willing to celebrate small victories. He’s not ready to take on the world just yet, but with time, consistency, and love, he has the potential to become a confident companion who can learn leash skills and explore life beyond his comfort zone.
If you’re looking to make a difference and give a deserving dog the chance he never had, Alaric might be the one for you.
(Alaric does require a fenced in yard, patient home with another canine friend to continue building his confidences.)
