Trixie

Hi, I’m Trixie! I was surrendered by my original family because I have lots of puppy energy and was knocking down the little kids in my home. My foster parents have found that I’m the most energetic first thing in the morning, but with a good walk and some playtime, I calm right down and love to relax and snuggle for most of the day. Snuggling is my absolute favorite! I can be very anxious sometimes, especially when my foster parents leave my sight, but I get much better as I settle in. I’m still very nervous in the car as well. I would love to be with a family that is home a lot to give me lots of attention! Although I would be super happy to sleep in your bed, I’m good at settling down in my crate for bedtime, as long as I can still see you. I’m mostly potty trained, but I do still have some accidents occasionally, especially if I get too excited. I’m very smart and have learned how to “sit,” “come,” and “shake.” When we go for a walk, I may pull a little bit on my leash, but I’m doing pretty well for a puppy.  I’ll play with regular dog toys sometimes, but my absolute favorite is sticks from outside! Overall, I’m a gentle, snuggly sweetheart who loves to be right by your side and can’t wait to find my forever family!
