Update: Boots has been with us for a couple of months now and we are so lucky to have him. Although he may take some time to warm up to strangers, if he is given the opportunity to adjust at his own pace, boots will love you forever. He loves being near his foster parents and snuggling with them is his favorite. He whines a little when being kenneled but when we come home and let him out he is usually sound asleep. He has had a couple of accidents but otherwise does well when let outside regularly. He gets along with both big and small dogs. Boots was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure and now requires three different medications to treat this. He takes his medications like a champ, all we have to do is place the pills in with his food and he will gobble them up. He has also had some teeth extracted and he has handled that amazingly as well. Boots will be perfect for anyone looking for a snuggle bug companion.
Boots has been with us for a couple of days now. It has taken a little time for him to adjust and get comfortable with his new foster family. He has had zero accidents and now heads to the door when he needs to go out. He does wonderfully in the kennel and will whine if he needs letting for the bathroom. He is food/treat motivated and will kennel up with treats. He is also very inquisitive, and he loves to roam the house checking out every corner. He also isn’t afraid to let you know if he doesn’t like something. His favorite thing is to find a warm place to curl up and snooze. Boots can’t wait to find his forever family to spend his golden years with.
