My name is Winn-Dixie but you can call me Winni or Dixie. I’m a little shy at first but once I get to know you I will follow you around and give you all my cuddles. I am good with kids but I do need some time to get comfortable with them. I love to chase my tail and play with toys. My foster mom loves to laugh at me when I am chase my tail because even when I catch it, I still continue to spin. I love to be outside and have recently discovered butterflies! I also love to roll on my back and kick my feet in the air. I get along great with my foster brother and sister dogs and my brother cats. One of my past times that I very much enjoy is sitting in the window and watching all the goings on in the world outside.

I am mostly house trained, I have only had a couple of accidents since I have been with my foster family. I am kennel trained but I prefer your lap or laying next to you in the bed.

Since I am dachshund mix, I have to be very careful with my back. My foster mom says I shouldn’t be jumping on and off of beds or couches. I don’t mind being picked up though, it gives me more love touches. If you can be patient with me and allow me the time to get comfortable, I promise you wont regret it. I will be your bestest friend and bring you lots and lots of love, fun and happiness.
