Russ is a big, sweet, friendly baby. He already sleeps through the night and is well on his way to being house trained. He is also making great progress on crate training, though prefers to be out and about where his housemates (human and canine) are. Russ is a great puppy- he loves to play with our other dogs and our kids, but is also happy to lay down and take a nap nearby after a play session. He is going to be a big boy (his paws are already bigger than our 50 pound shepherd mix’s) but already is showing his “gentle giant” nature in his interactions with our kids and small dogs. Plus, those big brown eyes and floppy ears melt hearts everywhere he goes!

Russ Update: (8-20-24)
Russ continues to be a (big) fluffy sweetie pie. He plays so well with our other dogs, both big and little, and loves to sit outside with our kids and entertain himself with toys or just watch the kids play on the swing set while getting some scratches and pets from whoever is closest to him. He has figured out where he’s supposed to “do his business” so walks on the leash over to that part of the yard and gets it done so he can get back to hanging out with the family. Russ is growing every day and will be a BIG boy, so he’s working very hard on learning leash manners and learning to sit when he wants attention or to go somewhere instead of jumping or pawing. This cuddle bug is going to make the perfect addition to a home where he keeps working on his manners and gets plenty of time to snuggle!
