Meet Isla. Isla is a happy-go-lucky, extremely friendly and very high energy dog who needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation and exercise to keep her out of trouble. She is looking for a confident and committed owner that will continue to work on her training so she can be her best self!

Isla is an outgoing pup who wants to be friends with everyone. She is treat-motivated and potty trained. Isla is still very much a puppy at heart, and with the right training, she will be the best partner in crime. She'll shower you with kisses and show you how to find the brightest joys in life.

A few things to note about what we have learned and what we are working on with Isla:

Currently, Isla loves to jump up on people so should be supervised with young children and elderly, so she doesn’t accidentally knock them over. She is working on her manners right now and with her treat motivation and consistent training we think she can get there!

A fully fenced yard and/or an owner that enjoys leashed walks would be best for Isla at this time to help burn energy and she can get easily distracted by all the fun outdoor things!

Isla is still a puppy and learning that not all dogs love her even though she loves them all and just wants to play! The only time Isla would prefer to be away from other dogs is when food is involved, but once food time is done she is ready to play again! She hasn’t had many interactions with cats yet aside as she does like to try to play and chase them and the resident cats would prefer to be left alone.

We are working on crate training currently and she is making a ton of progress! She cries a little when she first goes into her crate, but she settles down fairly quickly and will sleep through the night in her kennel!
